Houston, we have a singer!

Lady Gaga is taking her performances to the stars and will become the first artist ever to perform in outer space in early 2015, reports US Weekly.

The 27-year-old singer will take a trip on a Virgin Galactic SpaceShip Two to space, where she will perform outside of the earth’s atmosphere.

Gaga’s space odyssey will be a part of Zero G Colony, which is a three-day high-tech music festival that its site is calling a “galactic music experience.” The festival, which features both entertainment and new, cutting-edge technology, will take place in early 2015 at Spaceport America, New Mexico, reports E! News.

On the third day of the event, Gaga will perform one of her songs in outer space. She is even bringing her glam squad into orbit with her to make sure that the performance is even more unforgettable.

Gaga tweeted about her upcoming trip earlier today, with one simple hashtag:

But it won’t be as easy as taking the next flight out of earth.

"She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," a source told US. "Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy!"

The source added to US that Gaga’s performance will be "like nothing the world has seen before."
