Lea Michele is opening up about Kate Hudson helped her get through the immediate days following her boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death in July.

The Glee star spoke to Elle about staying at Hudson’s home because of the paparazzi swarming her own house after the media found out about Monteith’s death.

"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, ‘I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].’ She was like, ‘Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me,” Michele told Elle.

Hudson guest-starred as Cassandra July, Michele’s character Rachel Berry’s dance teacher on the hit FOX show.

Michele, 27, continued about how she’s coping since his tragic death, saying “you can choose to rise, and that's what I'm going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people,” E! Online reports.

Monteith passed away after struggling with substance abuse problems. The coronor’s report determined he died of a mixture of alcohol and heroin.
