Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are engaged to be married

Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Adam Brody (The O.C) from popular Josh Schwartz-authored shows are engaged to be married. The couple has yet to comment publically on their engagement.

The couple has been together since early 2013, according to MTV. The stars met when they worked together on the 2011 film The Oranges. Soon after they were reportedly "hanging out", via Us Magazine Meester and Brody will star in an upcoming production together, ironically entitled Life Partners.

The couple has not roused much publicity regarding their relationship due to their lack of PDA. Meester and Brody have been seen attending humble events together with discretion. Meester shares her optimism on love:

"I love love. It's the most intriguing universally understood emotion, and it comes in so many forms: family love, love of friends," Meester told Lucky magazine back in 2012. "I fall in love with everybody all the time."
