Actress Malin Akerman was spotted smiling in Los Angeles Monday, even as the tabloids reported that she and her husband, Roberto Zincone, are breaking up.
As previously reported, the Trophy Wife star, 35, and Petalstones drummer have broken up, ending their six-year marriage. However, sources for Us Weekly said that the split is an amicable decision.
“It's as amicable as can be, and they want to do what's best for their son,” said a source for the magazine, which was the first to report the news. Another source said that, “No one has plans to file yet.”
Another friend told Us that Akerman is so stunned that she hasn’t spoken about it. “It's a very sad time for her,” the source said.
If it is sad for her, Akerman tried to put on a happy face for the photographers who spotted her pumping gas Monday, reports E! News. Akerman, who was wearing a leather jacket and printed pants, smiled to the photographers who saw her.
News that Akerman and Zincone are breaking up is surprising. Their son, Sebastian, was born just seven months ago and she has had nothing but good things to say about him in recent interviews.
“We always talk things out,” she said in an interview with You Tango. “Really good communication is literally what keeps us solid.”
Akerman was seen in Watchmen and Rock of Ages. Trophy Wife airs on ABC Tuesdays.
