Last month, Julien’s Auctions announced that it planned to sell a set of X-Rays of the late actress Marilyn Monroe. The lot also included documents that revealed that Monroe underwent cosmetic surgery. If you were wondering how much someone would pay for this, it turns out that one rich Monroe fan shelled out $25,000 for it.

As previously reported, the documents gave fans an insight into Monroe’s health at the height of her popularity, from 1950 to 1962. The X-rays revealed that she took a fall on June 7, 1962 and sustained injuries.

The documents showed that she had plastic surgery in 1950, when she was still trying to break into the business. She went to a doctor in 1958 to complain of a “chin deformity.”

It was expected to go for between $15,000 and $30,000. While it didn’t reach the high end of that estimate, the AFP reports that $25,600. It wasn’t even the most expensive Monroe item sold during the auction. Her 1952 Redbook award went for $62,000.

Monroe remains one of the most popular Hollywood actresses of her time, even though she died in 1962. She landed on Forbes’ list of the richest dead celebrities, making $15 million in the past 12 months. Her best known films include The Seven Year Itch and Some Like It Hot.
