Mark Wahlberg is denying that his family reality show on A&E will be like the Kardashian family’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The show is based on the Wahlburg family’s business Wahlburgers, a burger joint outside of Boston.
The Lone Survivor star said in an interview on Tuesday about Keeping Up comparisons, "No, no. It's very different. It's very different. Nothing against them. They've been hugely successful.”
He added, the show is ”just about building a family business. Uh, it's just very different, very different,” The AP reports.
Donnie Wahlberg said the reason they named their business Wahlburgers is because of a childhood nickname. “They called us that as kids. They used to tease me," said Donnie. "They'd say 'Hey Wahlburger.' [That is] if they weren't calling me junior jailbird 'cause my older brothers being inmates all the time."
Wahlburgers will premiere on A&E Jan. 22 at 10:30 p.m. It will star Mark, Donnie, Paul and their mother.
