The New York Mets have agreed to sign outfielder Chris Young to a one-year deal.

According to CBSSports.com, the deal is worth $7.25 million and the agreement is still pending a physical.

Young is a career .235 hitter with 144 home runs in eight seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics, ESPN notes. He made the 2010 All-Star team with Arizona.

Last season though, the 30-year-old’s average sunk to .200. He ended up with 12 home runs and had 10 stolen bases in 107 games for the Athletics.

Young is a right-handed hitter and hailed as a very good defender, who has played every outfield position. He has 905 games in center field, 26 games in right and 24 games in left for his career.

The Mets have not said yet where Young will play this season. However, as it stands now, New York’s outfield would consist of Eric Young Jr. in left, Juan Lagares in center and Chris Young in right.

This offseason, it seems that the Mets have been looking to unload and reload the team’s talent. First baseman Ike Davis and second baseman Daniel Murphy are both rumored to be on the trading block. The team also has expressed interest and been linked to hot free-agent pickups Robinson Cano, Nelson Cruz and Curtis Granderson.
