Miley Cyrus’ American Music Awards performance was a far cry from her controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance with Robin Thicke. The singer was much more toned down as she sang her Bangerz song “Wrecking Ball.”
Cyrus, 21, even wore a low cut white pantsuit on the red carpet, which is out of character for the singer. However, there was a reason behind it.
“Performers were warned that they would be yanked if there was too much skin,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Even though her outfit was a bit more racy during the performance of “Wrecking Ball”, she definitely would have pushed it further.”
Although it looked like Cyrus was toning down her performance and adding an element of innocence to it by making it kitten-themed, the source said her thought process went a bit deeper than that.
“She decided to prove a point and put her p—y up on the big screen,” said the insider.
