Miley Cyrus shocked millions at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday Nov. 10, when she lit up a joint while accepting the best video award for “Wrecking Ball.” But a twitter conversation she had with Katy Perry reveals she wasn’t the only star who planned on getting high that night.
Earlier that morning, Perry tweeted, “For tonight's performance of UNCONDITIONALLY on @mtvema I will be letting the LIGHT in & then making you SHINE! #dontneedtobehighforthis."
Perry might have used that particular hashtag to throw shade at Cyrus, knowing the antics she had planned for her acceptance speech.
This didn’t stop Cyrus, who admitted she loves smoking weed in an interview with Rolling Stone, from tweeting, "@katyperry @mtvema but you may want to be."
The tweet got mixed comments from Perry’s fans. Some thought it was funny while others told Cyrus to “stop influencing Katy to do drugs.”
Perry cleverly responded to Cyrus' comment by tweeting, “@MileyCyrus #afterparty.” Her tweet alludes to the possibility of getting high, but doesn’t specifically state her desire toke up with Cyrus.
Did the two actually puff and pass later that night or was Perry joking?
