NeNe Leakes, of Real Housewives of Atlanta and I Dream of NeNe fame, has been hospitalized for a mystery illness but she has since been released.
The reality star on actress, who plays Roz on Glee, posted a message to her website assuring fans she didn’t have a heart attack and she’s currently resting at home.
In a post titled “Thank you for all your support,” Leakes explained when she was experiencing shortness of breath she immediately went to the hospital. After some tests, she found out she had blood clots on her lung.
“I’m told this happened to me because of the constant traveling around the country that I do for my job,” she said. “I’m thankful to be alive as the doctor advised me that most people don’t recognize the symptoms of blood clots and don’t go to the doctor and that’s when the big problems start happening.”
TMZ notes one of her fans tweeted that her “grueling schedule” was probably to blame and she retweeted it with the message “I work my butt off.”
Leakes, who remarried her husband Gregg Leakes recently, also had a part on The New Normal before it was canceled.
