Exciting news has hit the web for Netflix users, and superhero fans alike. Netflix, the juggernaut movie streaming service, and Disney have both teamed up to create a 13-part mini series for four different superheroes. That's 13 episodes for each hero, that's a lot of viewing. The four superheroes that are getting this super treatment are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

According to Empire the first hero to be released will be Daredevil in 2015, followed by Jessica Jones, Iron First, then Luke Cage. President of Marvel Entertainment, Alan Fine stated that, “This deal is unparalleled in its scope and size, and reinforces our commitment to deliver Marvel's brand, content and characters across all platforms of storytelling." It's a safe bet that they're putting a lot of time and effort into these releases and will gain a ton of momentum over the next year.

Although each superhero gets their own separate mini-series, the whole event as they're calling it will be coinciding story lines and each hero's story will butt together with the others according to EW. Their stories will converge as the group known as The Defenders, and will include the four part mini-series as said above, which will then lead to one all together series after all is said and done. The first treatment of the heroes is slated for 2015.
