The Jason Kidd drink spilling incident continues. The NBA on Thanksgiving Day fined the Brooklyn Nets coach $50,000 for staging a spilled drink on Wednesday night vs. the Los Angeles Lakers.

After the Brooklyn Nets coach spilled his Coke on Wednesday night to buy his team a timeout, he blamed it on sweaty hands."Cup slipped out of my hand while I was getting Ty," Kidd told reporters, via ESPN.

Kidd had used all his timeouts as the Nets rallied from a 27-point first-half deficit to pull within 95-94. The Lakers' Jodie Meeks was at the free throw line and hit the first free throw when Kidd called Tyshawn Taylor over the Nets bench to "bump" into Kidd while he was holding his drink.

Reports USA Today, the league said the fine was for intentional spill on the floor to delay the game.

It seems like fining Kidd $50,000 brought the truth out, since he had nothing to lose. He addressed the incident to reporters before the Nets’ Friday game against the Houston Rockets:
