ABC announced that it would not be canceling the upcoming second season of The Taste despite the drug allegations levied against Nigella Lawson that came out during a recent pre-trial hearing.

As previously reported, Lawson was accused of using drugs daily for over a decade by two former kitchen assistants.

The celebrity chef is currently accusing Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo of defrauding her and her now ex-husband Charles Saatchi for $484,000. The sisters are defending themselves by saying that Lawson used her husband's company credit card to keep them quiet about her drug habit.

Despite these serious allegations, ABC said that it has no plans to cancel the second season of The Taste, Variety reports. Lawson is a judge, along with Anthony Bourdain and Ludo Lefebvre, on the show.

The show premieres in early 2014. ABC said that "We have already wrapped production on 'The Taste' and it will air as planned beginning January 2nd."

Though the drug claims don't seem to worry ABC, her ex-husband certainly seems to believe them according to an email Saatchi sent the chef. "Of course now the Grillos will get off on the basis that you (and your daughter) were so off your heads on drugs that you allowed the sisters to spend whatever they liked and yes I believe every word they have said."
