Anthony Bennett of the Cleveland Cavaliers just can't seem to put the ball in the basket through his first four games in the NBA.

Bennett is 0 for 15 to start the season, eight of those misses being three point attempts. Did the Cavs make a mistake in drafting him? Only time will tell.

"I just feel like there’s a lid on the basket,'' said Bennett, after the Cavs lost to the Pacers 89-74.

According to Cleveland.com Bennett had his chance to put one down when he got himself a steal and a one man fast break, defended only by point guard C.J. Watson. Well he missed.

Head coach Mike Brown had some reasons for the slow start, defending his player.

"He's probably pressing to a certain degree," Brown said after practice Tuesday. "So it's probably a little of that and a little bit of being on a big stage now in the regular season with it counting. There's probably some of where his opponents are looking at him and saying that they're going to come at him. They may not care that he's the No. 1 pick."

ESPN reports that Bennett's two points from the foul line are the least by a No. 1 pick through four games in the common draft era. He is one of five rookies in history to go four games without a bucket, but he is the only No. 1 overall pick to do so.

To add the embarrassment there are eight other rookies in the league this year who have put the ball in the hoop at least once in 15 field goal attempts, and 76ers rookie Michael Carter-Williams has made 26 field goals already.
