Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg created movie magic when Ghost hit movie screens all across America. That famous pottery scene is one of the most memorable scenes in movie history. Now Ghost is being adapted for TV.
USA Today reported that Paramount Television announced that writers, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner, from the TV show, Fringe have been given the task of adapting the film for television.
No casting details have been released and no details about what the script will be like have been released yet.
This would be the first TV show that has been created by Paramount’s new TV division. The studio has been without a TV extension since 2005 and the wing was just reformed in July 2013,The Verge added. Paramount’s goal of working in TV again is to adapt projects like Ghost to the small screen.
Ghost won the Oscar for best original screenplay and best support actress (Goldberg). Ghost has also been adapted into a Broadway musical that has been running since 2011.
