Pauly D visited his 6-month-old daughter for the first time earlier this month and now he revealed what it was like to hold his baby girl.

"I was nervous if she wasn't going to like me," the 33-year-old told US Weekly on Thursday. "But the second I saw the baby her eyes just lit up, it's almost like she knew," he gushed. "It was amazing. I knew she was mine right off the bat too because she looks just like me. She came right over to me and put her arms right up to me." He laughed: "[She] grabbed my hair! That's the first thing she went for. And then she was biting my nose."

The Jersey Shore star and his mom, Donna DiCarlo DelVecchio met the baby's mother, Amanda Markert, at an undisclosed location in New Jersey on Nov. 6. "I didn't know what to expect, and then you know, it's almost like I knew what to do. I felt comfortable holding her. It was an exciting feeling [and] all the nervousness went away," Pauly D said. "She has the same big eyes. Same forehead, [and] same mouth."

The deejay told Radar Onlinethat “She smiles all the time. Always smiling. I always smile, too, so she’s definitely my baby just by that big smile she has."

While Pauly D and Markert are currently fighting a custody battle over Amabella. The MTV star is trying to be the responsible parent, but when asked if he'll be giving the one-night stands a break, he said, "Uh no. Protection!"
