The nominees for the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards have been announced and actresses Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the stars of CBS’ 2 Broke Girls, will host the ceremony.

Dennings and Behrs revealed the nominees this morning during a press conference at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. Heart of Dixie’s Rachel Bilson, Glee’s Darren Criss, Mom’s Allison Janney and singer Ciara were also in attendance.

The People’s Choice Awards are handed out based on a fan vote. Glee has earned the most television nominations with eight, while Katy Perry earned five music nominations. The "Roar" singer was nominated for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song, Favorite Music Video and Favorite Fan Following.

Sandra Bullock has earned five nominations in the movie categories. She’ll be competing against herself in the Favorite Duo category, as she was nominated for her roles in Gravity with George Clooney and The Heat with Melissa McCarthy.

Speaking of McCarthy, the Mike & Molly star is the only star to get nominations in movie and TV categories.

CBS is airing the ceremony on Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. and voting ends on Dec. 5. Reality TV mogul Mark Burnett is executive producing for the fifth straight year. Fans can vote at PeoplesChoice.com, Facebook and Twitter. There is also a mobile app available for free.
