The Celtics remain winless in a loss to the new look Pistons 87-77.

Brandon Jennings played his first game with Detroit Sunday and scored 14 points with four steals. Andre Drummond and Josh Smith both had 15 in the win.

Jennings missed the first two games of the season with a fractured jaw. After the game he said, "I'm ready to play now."

According to Boston Herald the Pistons dominated the Celtics in the paint. They won the rebounding battle 44-37 and outscored Boston in the paint 19-8.

“They pounded us in the paint all night,” said rookie Celtics coach Brad Stevens. “That really hurt us. We were earning baskets; they were, you know, making them at the rim. Not that they weren’t earning them, too, it’s just different. They really pounded us in the paint.”

ESPN reports that Jennings had two big steals under two minutes to help seal the deal. It was a two-point game when he got a steal from Courtney Lee and got the ball ahead to Rodney Stuckey, who was fouled and knocked down two free throws.

"It was good to see him out there and the effect he can have on the team," coach Maurice Cheeks said of Jennings. "He brings a little electricity to a game."
