Kelly Clarkson, who just announced she’s pregnant with her first child, revealed a conversation she had with British sensation Adele, who warned her not to have a baby.
Adele gave birth to her son Angelo in October 2012 and she’s mostly stayed out of the public eye since then.
“I ran into her at the Grammys last year, and I was like, 'So, when is your next album coming out?'" Clarkson said, Us Weekly reports.
"She knows now I'm a superfan. She's so sweet. She's my big favorite to work with just because I'm a huge fan. She told me she was a big fan, too, and gave me some advice."
The newlywed revealed exactly what that advice was: not to start having kids too soon.
“She said, 'Girl, don't have a baby 'cause everything else will go on the back burner. I'm so happy living in babyland,'" she remembered.
Adele’s 2011 album 21 broke records and she’s yet to release a follow-up, however, she did record the James Bond single
”Skyfall” last year and it won an Oscar and a Grammy.
Clarkson recently took to Twitter to confirm she and husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting.
“I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)” she wrote.
