Prince William gave a speech at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts headquarters in London on Monday to launch the “Give Something Back” campaign, which aims to get young people interested in the entertainment business.

“Today more than ever, young people and career starters need nurture and support to achieve their potential and to succeed,” the Duke of Cambridge said, reports Variety. “This includes the chance to learn from and work side-by-side with the best in the business.”

William, who is the group’s president, explained that the campaign “is a special opportunity for our supremely talented professionals to offer a small amount of their time or money to contribute to BAFTA’s learning program.”

BAFTA’s campaign will include lectures, mentoring programs, scholarships and summer work placements to help cultivate interest in the film, television and game industries among young people.

BAFTA chairman John Willis called the program a “rallying cry to the film, TV and games industries to support the next generation of talent.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prince William has also shown support for a scholarships program launched by BAFTA in collaboration with Warner Bros.

Prince William also got a chance to play the games designed by the winners of the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition, notes the Daily Express. “It's very addictive,” the prince said about video games. “I'd like to get one but I'm not sure how my wife would feel about it."
