Last night’s episode of Ravenswood taught us that crazy, scary things can happen once you start to believe…

Miranda’s funeral did not have the kind of turnout you would normally expect a teenager to have. The people in attendance were from the town, which means, not many actually knew her. Luke, Remy, and Olivia make an appearance and of course, Caleb is there as well, AND Miranda is there, too (Interesting thought: how many people who have sadly passed do you think actually attend their own funeral?). During the funeral Olivia notices a young girl about her age, standing in front of her father’s grave. The girl and Olivia look at each other, Olivia beckons for Luke to look, but the girl disappears.

During the reception, Remy and Luke speak briefly. Remy asks him and Olivia to meet her and Caleb at the Vault (coffee shop). After the reception, Luke and Olivia see their mother arguing with Chief Beddington. Luke and Olivia approach an officer named Clark, and ask him what’s going on with their father’s case. Clark tells them that Chief Beddington may have another lead and is currently looking for a woman named Abby. Apparently this woman was trying to get in contact with their father.

Caleb, Remy, Luke, and Olivia meet at the Vault where Remy tells Olivia and Luke of the pattern that she was telling Caleb all about before. War vets return home after surviving an attack where they are the only survivors and within a week, five teenagers are dead. Remy believes that Miranda’s death was not merely an accident. Olivia and Luke are not eager to believe this. Olivia gets up and leaves, as she is more interested in finding out who this Abby woman is. Luke ends up following her.

Back at their house, Olivia is searching her dad’s computer for any mention of Abby. Luke is convinced that their father might have been cheating. Their mother returns home and Luke asks her about Abby and mention that the police are looking for her. Their mother ends up telling them that Abby Wheeler was their dad’s girlfriend in high school and their father believed she was trying to contact him to warn him that he was in danger due to his suspicions about the town (the whole Ravenswood is cursed thing). Luke asks if they were sleeping together and their mother tells them that Abby has been dead for over 20 years.

Raymond decides to let Caleb stay in the carriage house behind his house, which was where the old groundskeeper stayed before he “retired to Phoenix” and all Caleb has to do is help out by pulling weeds, cutting the grass, and hauling markers.

Miranda and Caleb go through a trunk filled with her mother’s belongings. Miranda mentions that she thought she would’ve seen her mother by now being as they’re both dead, but she hasn’t. Being able to connect with something is all Miranda wants and just like that, she is pulled into the hallway of Raymond’s house. She takes notice of a picture of her mother from when she was a little girl and reaches out to touch it. Just as she touches it, the lights flicker off and a deep, ghostly voice tells her to “go away” and to “get out”. The next morning, Miranda tells Caleb about what happened. Miranda believes that maybe there are other spirits stuck like she is.

Olivia looks through her father’s old yearbook and finds Abby’s senior portrait. She turns the page and sees a page dedicated to the five students who were killed in the school’s science lab fire in 1992. Arriving to school early, Olivia enters the science lab, which her father dedicated in honor to the five victims. She looks around before turning to walk out. Just as she closes the door behind her, she hears a ghostly, girl scream. She freezes, slowly turns back, and walks towards the door. She jumps back when a very badly bloodied, burnt girl appears from the door window inside the room, which is up in flames. The girl begs her to help her and then all is normal again. Olivia is now convinced that this girl is the same girl she saw at Miranda’s funeral. The girl is Abby. Olivia goes home and tells Luke that she thinks Abby is now trying to contact her. She tells him about the funeral and about the science lab. She now believes in what Remy was telling them.

Receiving a text from Caleb, Remy heads over to the carriage house. Caleb and Remy are surprised to see Luke and Olivia paying a visit. Inside, Caleb tells them that Miranda is still around. Everyone, but Luke believes him. Olivia fills Caleb and Remy in about Abby. She thinks Abby is trying to warn her, just as she tried to do with her father. Olivia noticed a white board with the letters of the alphabet magnetically stuck to it and proposes they perform a seance.

Miranda comes to Caleb and tells him she doesn’t think the seance is a good idea, but they all do it anyway. Caleb, Remy, Luke, and Olivia gather around the board and Olivia calls out to Abby. A rustling clatter makes them all jump. Caleb gets up to go investigate. Olivia, Remy, and Luke try the seance again in Caleb’s absence. This time around, Miranda hears the same ghostly voice from before, call out Abby’s name. Miranda is once again pulled back into the hallway of Raymond’s house. Miranda is pushed back and forth, the lights flicker off, and there’s a strong wind. On her knees, Miranda pleads to Abby and begs her to not let the others die as well. Everything calms down. The phone rings. Miranda goes to the bottom of the stairs. The phone rattles off its holder and Miranda speaks into it. A girl’s voice tells her to go away, but Miranda begs Abby to help the others out.

Miranda finds herself back with the others. Olivia asks Abby if she’s there. Abby responds through the board, yes. Olivia asks Abby if her father discovered Ravenswood’s curse. Abby responds, yes. Olivia asks Abby if her father is with her. Abby responds, no. Olivia then asks if the curse got her father killed. Abby responds, yes. The light fixture on the ceiling begins to rattle and Miranda tells them that someone is coming, but of course, they can’t hear her. The ceiling begins to crack. From outside, Caleb hears Miranda yell for him. He runs back inside. Olivia asks if what/who killed her father is trying to kill the rest of them. Abby responds, yes.

Caleb runs into the room. The door shuts behind him and locks itself. The window locks and the blinds pull down, trapping them inside. Freaked out, Luke wants to stop, but Remy tells him they need answers. All of a sudden, the letters move and spell out, “FIVE PACT”. The ceiling cracks even more and the light begins to rattle more violently. Just before the light comes crashing down, Miranda runs over and flips the board off the table. Olivia, Luke, and Remy jump back. The light comes crashing down onto the table leaving them in darkness. Miranda is glowing (literally). Caleb looks at her and is surprised when Remy questionably says Miranda’s name. Olivia and Luke can see her now, too. The glowing goes away and Miranda stands there before all of them.

In his office, Raymond tells Mrs. Grunwald that he told Caleb the groundskeeper retired and she tells him that it was for the best (he did actually die in the carriage house). Grunwald tells him that Caleb has guests over, but he probably shouldn’t be inviting them.

What role does Raymond play in all of this??
Does Miranda get another shot at life having saved the others??
What's the deal with the "FIVE PACT" as in, where did it originate?? Who created it??
