There are documents of messages sent from Richie Incognito to Dolphins teammate Jonathan Martin that show use of racial slurs and profanity.

This transcript is of a voicemail from Incognito sent to Martin in April of 2013:

"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."

According to ESPN people in the Dolphins organization have heard this tape, among others. Officials from the NFL have also heard the same tapes. Apparently this was not the first incident of Incognito's use of these slurs.

The Dolphins have suspended Incognito as a result of the incident, and are expected to cut him in the near future.

A recent twist has been put on the story by other Dolphins team members, as USA Today reports that they are defending Incognito, and questioning why Martin filed against him.

"If you asked Jonathan Martin who his best friend is on this team two weeks ago, he'd say Richie Incognito," said quarterback Ryan Tannehill. "It's tough for us to sit here and hear all that when we have each others' backs."

Tannehill wasn't the only one who had Incognito's back.

"What's perceived is that Richie is this psychopath racist, and the reality is Richie was a pretty good teammate," tackle Tyson Clabo said. "I don't know why (Martin is) doing this. And the only person who knows why is Jonathan Martin."
