Selena Gomez opened up about dating on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Tuesday, saying she’s enjoying the single life and prefers guys approach her.

Gomez, now 21, is currently on her Stars Dance tour, her first tour without her parents. She said of her new independence that it’s been “good for me.”

“It’s been good for me to actually do it all on my own this time,” she said, Access Holywood reports. “It’s been great for me to go without my parents and being single and being me, it’s been great.”

She continued about dating, “I think it works different for female artists or at least it does for me because I actually don’t do any of that. Don’t get me wrong, if a guy has the courage to ask me out, maybe I would. But I’m old fashioned. I like when guys come to me.”

Gomez also recently spoke to Teen Vogue and admitted she will never be a one-night-stand type of girl.

"You fall in love and it completely consumes you. So a part of you is broken when that's gone. And part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you're just like, forget it—I can do anything I want,” she explained. “I've tried it, and I've never been that girl. I'm always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night."
