Sephora has recalled a lipstick from Kat Von D’s makeup line.

According to E! Online, the former LA Ink star’s “Celebutard” lipstick has been pulled from Sephora because of its offensive name.

USA Today reports that the lipstick was pulled from the shelves after disability advocates and angry consumers took to the internet to complain about the offensive name.

Faith Bodnar, the executive director of Inclusion BC, commented on the name saying, “a term for no-so-bright celebrity that references ‘retard’ is plain offensive.”

Bodnar continues, “It should have never been on the shelves to begin with. It’s degrading and there’s no place for it.”

Sephora has since commented on their decision to recall the lipstick and is apologizing for ever carrying it in stores.

“It has come to our attention that the name of one shade of a lipstick we carry has caused offense to some of our clients and others. We are deeply sorry for that, and we have ceased sale of that shade both in our stores and online.”

It seems that the 31-year-old tattoo artist doesn’t share the same opinion on the lipstick. She tweeted and then deleted her thoughts writing, “At the end of the day, it’s just a f--king lipstick.”
