Simon Cowell, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, reportedly bought an engagement ring for her.
Sources close to the X Factor creator, 54, believe he will pop the question to Silverman over the holidays.
"Simon has an engagement ring, but is being secretive about the proposal," a source told People. "Simon is flying to the Caribbean for the Christmas holiday. Lauren will join him for parts of the holiday trip. Simon could be planning a special holiday proposal. It seems he will definitely propose."
Cowell is getting really excited about becoming a father to a baby boy. "He loves feeling the baby kicking and acts very proud that he will be a father,” said an insider.
Silverman already has a son with her estranged husband, Andrew, who Cowell used to be good friends with. As part of the terms of their divorce proceedings, Cowell is reportedly not allowed any contact with him.
The baby scandal surfaced back in July, when it was revealed Cowell was expecting a child with his friend’s wife.
