Jax meets with Patterson about taking down Galen. The immunity deal for the club is in place, but Patterson assures him that nothing is final until Galen is put away. After Patterson leaves, Chibbs tells Jax that he's doing a fine job with handling this situation.

Back in town at Gemma's house, Nero tells Gemma that she's doing the right thing by helping out Wendy while they wait for her to be admitted to rehab. He also asks if theres a chance that any of these nice feelings could be transferred toward Tara. Despite Tara being family, Gemma says that she can't quite forgive Tara yet for what she did.

As Tara drops off the boys at the garage and Wayne apologizes to her for the way everything had to happen, Jax and the Sons ride to the warehouse that Connor uses as his base of operations. Once inside, the Sons get with Connor to go over the plan to break out Clay.

Tara leaves the garage to go to the hospital to meet with her new lawyer. Her new lawyer tells Tara that she needs to be 100 percent open about everything, or else he can't help her. He also warns her that if she goes through with the divorce, then Jax will get to voice his side of the matter, which would then lead to the realization that her pregnancy was faked. If that information gets out, it also questions Tara's character when it comes to her role in the Pamela Toric case. Tara realizes that she has to choose between her boys or her freedom.

Jax, Chibbs, Tig, Bobby and Juice go over the plan with Connor. They have it set up as a smash and grab in transit. The guys are going to break into four two-man teams in four different trucks, each with their own specific role. The guys gear up. At the prison, Clay is escorted to the transport vehicle.

Roosevelt and Patterson wait at the docks, ready to nab Galen and the Irish. Eli sees two Sons arrive and knows that they're at the right place. He turns to his sheriff and tells him that this - a showdown between the sheriffs, SWAT, the Irish and the Sons - is only going end one way: incredibly bloody.

Jax and Juice sit in their truck, waiting for the call to begin. Jax asks Juice if he's "there." Juice says he's good, but he thinks Chibbs and some of the other guys still don't trust him all the way after Juice had ratted on the club for Roosevelt. Jax assures Juice that everything's all good, and then gets the call from Connor that the transport is on its way.

The four trucks are heading the opposite direction of the transport. Tig, out in front, cuts across the median and rams the follow car. Tig and Bobby hop out of their truck and get in one of the other ones. Chibbs then drives his truck in front of the transport. They shoot out the front window, forcing the cops to get out of the truck and hand over the keys. When Jax pulls his mask down, Clay is shocked to see his step-son as the one leading the breakout. "Where are the Irish?" Clay asks. "In Ireland," Jax laughs back. As the Sons are seemingly in the clear, one of the cops grabs his gun and opens fire. Bobby is hit twice, one caught by the bulletproof vest, the other in his shoulder. Juice runs over the cop, killing him instantly. At the docks, as the Sons get back in their truck and drive away, a SWAT officer tells Patterson and Roosevelt about Clay being sprung from the transport.

Tara goes to Gemma's to pick up her kids, but as she gets there Gemma gets the call from Jax about Bobby. Tara tells Gemma that she's done playing mob doctor, but Gemma doesn't care. She convinces Tara to go with her to save Bobby's life, that at least for that day, they can put their personal problems behind them.

The Sons get to the airfield where Galen waits for them. Chibbs has stopped Bobby's bleeding, but it's not looking great. Jax, Clay, Tig and Chibbs then head into the office where Galen is waiting for them. Galen and Clay embrace as old friends. Galen then extends his hand to max, congratulating him on a job well done, when…bam! Jax shoots Galen in the head, and Tig and Chibbs take care of the other two Irishmen in the room. "We voted," Jax coldly says to Clay, as he stands in silence. Clay knows what's coming next.

Gemma, Nero and Tara arrive at the airfield. As Tara tends to Bobby, there's an incredibly awkward reunion between Clay and Gemma. Gemma asks Clay when he's shipping off the Belfast, but Clay says that he's not going anymore. Clay tells her that plans changed, and then he tells Gemma that he's happy she isn't alone, turning to and acknowledging Nero. Tara tells Jax that she can't do anything for Bobby at their current location. Jax offers the the cabin, to which Tara agrees, but she says that she'll need to swing by the hospital to pick up a few things. Chibbs lets Jax know that Connor is on his way.

Clay asks Jax how this whole situation plays out. Jax then asks Clay how he'd handle it. Clay offers the suggestion of two parties arguing over a deal that goes very wrong who work it out the only way they know how. Jax says that sounds good to him. Clay asks if there was another vote that he didn't know about. Jax lets him know that this one was unanimous. Jax, Chibbs, Tig and Juice lead Clay back into the office. Clay walks into the corner, which is conveniently in front of a window, allowing Gemma, Nero and Tara to view what's about to happen. Jax takes aim and shoots Clay in the neck. As Clay graphically loses a lot of blood, he falls to the ground, dead. Jax unloads the rest of his clip into Clay's chest for good measure.

Gemma, Nero and Tara head to the hospital to get the supplies to help Bobby. Gemma is pretty shaken up over Clay's death. Tara, cold as ice, says that Clay should have died a long time ago. She fills Nero on why Jax killed Clay, bringing up Clay killing Piney as well as the cartel hit Clay ordered on Tara. Still on the road, Tara gets a call from Patterson. Tara agrees to meet with the DA at her office in the hospital.

Back at the airfield, the Sons get up the office to make it look like Clay and Galen killed each other. They all head back outside and wait for Connor. Jax takes Connor into the office alone. Connor goes to pull his gun, but Jax already has his against the back of Connor's head. Jax tells Connor "what happened." He tells him that Clay and Galen had some sort of side deal that went south, so Clay shot Galen. When the other two Irishmen walked in, Clay killed them too. Jax tells Connor that Clay turned on the Sons too, so they put him down. Connor can tell the Kings that the guy who killed their man is dead, that justice is served. Jax assures Connor that this is the truth that the Kings need to know, because if the real truth gets out, they're both dead. Connor wonders what's to come of the gun deal, but Jax tells him that August Marks will take over the business in Northern California. Connor is skeptical, but he doesn't really have a choice. Jax tells Connor that the KG-9s form the shipment stay at the airfield but the rest of the guns can go back to the beverage warehouse. Jax needs to deal with a local problem.

Patterson and Eli are already in Tara's office when she gets there. They tell Tara about the breakout. Tara plays ignorant at first, but changes her tune when Patterson says that her deal for Tara is back on the table. Patterson needs irrefutable evidence that the Sons were a part of the breakout, bringing RICO back into play, so Tara can get protection for her and her boys. Tara mentions the bullet, and Patterson says that will absolutely work. As Tara leaves, one of the sheriffs comes in with news about four dead bodies and a case of KG-9s at the airfield, with two of the bodies being Clay and Galen.

The sheriffs get to the airfield and begin going to work on the crime scene. Roosevelt tells something to Patterson that she didn't necessarily want to hear: Jax actually delivered his promise of Galen and the guns. Patterson brushes it off, though, as a pile of dead bodies was never part of their agreement.

At the cabin, Tara successfully gets the bullet out and brings Bobby back to the land of the living. Jax sincerely thanks Tara for her help. He also sincerely apologizes that being with him led her to doing what she did, but Jax understands why Tara did all of it. After Jax leaves the room, Tara locks the door behind him and pulls the bloody bullet out her pocket. She looks legitimately shook up about what she's going to do next.
