Taylor Swift was named next of kin by a pilot who died in a plane crash in Nashville. However, the award-winning singer’s rep denies she has ever met him.

Pilot Michael Callan’s plane was found hundreds of miles away from his flight path a few weeks back, managing to hover around the Nashville airport undetected by airport authorities for over two hours.

Investigators for the National Transportation Safety Board are still trying to figure out why he turned off his transponder and why the plane wasn’t found by authorities for a couple of hours after it crashed, NY Post reports.

What is equally perplexing is the fact that Callan named the “I Knew You Were Trouble” star, 23, his next of kin.

The Tennessean reports Swift’s publicist Paula Erickson, has since written in an email, “The first we heard of this was when the appropriate authorities contacted Taylor’s management about the crash. Taylor does not know this person.”

Callan left from Windsor, Canada for a short 30-minute trip to Pelee Island at the time and it’s unsure how he crossed international boarder or why he headed to Nashville, where Swift moved when she was 14 years old to pursue a music career.
