Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been released from jail about four years early, reuniting with her daughter Leah, now 4, on Monday.
Portwood was sentenced to five years in jail in January 2012 after rejecting a plea deal to carry out a rehab sentence instead.
She was seen wearing a T-shirt that read “Breaking Free Addiction” as she left the Rockville Correctional Facility in Rockville, Ind.
According to E! Online, although Portwood only spent one year and four months behind bars, a spokesperson for the correctional facility said that she earned an early release due to good behavior.
Each day she participated in a substance abuse program, she was given "good time credit" towards an early release.
Portwood’s brother Shawn told fans in September that his sister would be getting released much earlier than expected.
“Congratulations sis. I am so happy that you are finally being released. You did everything you needed to do to get out long before 5 years,” he wrote at the time.
