Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice were in a Newark, New Jersey federal courtroom today, pleading not guilty to the new fraud charges they were indicted for on Tuesday.

As previously reported, the two new charges claim that they lied on a loan application when they said Teresa made $15,000 a month as a real estate agent. But prosecutors say that she was unemployed at the time. Lawyers for the couple responded to the charges by vowing to plead not guilty.

According to NJ.com, prosucutors said that the couple lied on an application for a $361,250 mortgage loan.

On Wednesday, they did just that. Us Weekly reports that the two arrived at court together, hand-in-hand.

This week’s charges are on top of the 39 counts they were charged with in July. If they are convicted on those charges, they could be sentenced to up to 50 years in prison. They pleaded not guilty to those charges as well.

ABC News reports that their trial was first set for early next year, but it likely won’t start now until the middle of next year with the additional charges.
