At the start of the 6th leg, teams found out they would be heading to Vienna, Austria, and all arrived at the same time after catching the same train out of Warsaw. In Vienna, teams made their way to the Opera House, where they encountered both a detour and a fast forward.
Teams that chose the detour could choose between “Light Brigade,” where they would have to assemble a crystal chandelier, or “masquerade,” where they had to match masks they were wearing to those of an other couple. All teams headed to masquerade, except for Jason and Amy, who decided to try the Fast Forward, but were pre-warned that it was weather dependent. When they arrived, they learned they could bungee jump 500 feet, but the wind prevented them from doing so, forcing them to then head back to the detour, putting them in last place.
Tim and Marie finished the detour first and were followed nearly immediately by all the other teams, who had no problem finding cabs. The issue propelled Tim and Marie to the back of that pack.
Teams then made their way to the home of the Vienna Boys Choir, where they would face a road block, where one member from each team would have to learn the song “Die Forelle,” and be judged by pronunciation of the lyrics and their musicality. Here, Jason and Amy caught up to everyone once again.
Travis, Nicky, Jamal and Tim all managed to finish on the 2nd attempt, and when theyb got back outside, Tim and Marie decided to steal Jason and Amy’s cab, and decided they would blame Leo and Jamal. However, Jason and Amy finished the task on their first attempt and realized their cab had been taken.
Teams then headed to the labyrinth at Schoburnn Palace for the next clue, which led them to The Gloriette, the Pit Stop. Nicole and travis checked in first, winning a trip for two to Anguilla. They were followed by Nicky and Kim and Leo and Jamal in second the third.
Once arriving at The Palace, Jason and Amy realized Tim and Marie were the ones responsible for stealing their cab, and when they arrived in 5th place at the mat, directly behind Tim and Marie, a confrontation broke out that saw Jason vowing that he and Amy could prove they were a better team, and had over and over again before, and would beat Tim and Marie eventually—without using sly tactics.
Meanwhile it was a fight to the finish between Aly and Ashley and Tim and Danny, who each took 5 attempts to finish the road block. Ally and Ashley checked in 6th, leaving Tim and Danny the last to arrive, and were eliminated.
