After two nights of performances, the top twelve for NBC’s hit The Voice have been announced. Team Cee Lo, Christina, Adam and Blake all had outstanding and breathtaking performances. Multiple vocalists even charted on iTunes.
Three vocalists from each team advance to the top twelve. Two are decided by the votes casted by America and then the decision comes down to the coach on whom to advance.
Team Blake kicked off the night with a group performance of “Free Ride.” The group number include a breakout dance solo from Nic Hawk, which made the audience go wild. Following their group performance the results were announced. The first vocalist to advance was Austin Jenckes, followed by Cole Vosbury. Shelton decided to save Ray Boudreaux. Sending Shelbie Z and Nic Hawk home.
Next up to the stage was a group performance from Team Cee Lo. Team Cee Lo performed, “Give a Little Bit,” originally performed by the Goo Goo Dolls. Then the results were read. Caroline Pennell advanced first followed by Jonny Gray. The decision of who to save now came down to Green, in the end, Green decided to save Kat Robichaud. Amber Nicole and Tamara Chauniece left the competition.
Team Christina performed their take on Maroon 5’s “Love Somebody.” The first to advance from Team Christina was Jacquie Lee, followed by Matthews Schuler. Aguilera decided to save Josh Logan, sending Stephanie Anne Johnson and Olivia Henken home.
The final team to receive their results was Team Adam. Before the results, Team Adam took to the stage to perform, “Safe and Sound,” by Capital Cities. The first vocalist to advance to the top 12 was James Wolpert, followed by Tessanne Chin. Now the decision was turned over to the Levine, in the end, Levine advanced Will Champlin, sending Gray and Preston Pohl home.
The live shows will continue on Monday and Tuesday next week on NBC.
