Thanksgiving week marks the beginning of the airing of classic holiday specials. As television shows start to wind down and prepare for their winter breaks, see what new holiday themed episodes you get to look forward to this week.
Sunday, Nov. 24: Watch the American Music Awards, with performances from Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande, host Pitbull, and more on ABC. Also, the final five teams travel to Indonesia on The Amazing Race, and look for Thanksgiving themed episodes of Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and American Dad on FOX.
Monday, Nov. 25: Castle and Beckett play nanny to a lost child while trying to solve a murder on Castle. Plus, look for the all rhyming episode of How I Met Your Mother, with returning guest star James Van Der Beek. Also, Detective Kennex and Dorian deal with an intense hostage situation on Almost Human, and the top eight acts perform on The Voice.
Tuesday, Nov. 26: On Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson and the team are haunted by a mysterious force, and only a secret from May’s past can save them. Also, CBS airs beloved holiday favorite Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and Amy hosts a Thanksgiving for the precinct on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Later, a drive-by shooting hits close to home for Cruz and his brother on Chicago Fire.
Wednesday, Nov. 27: Kimmie faces her fears about singing in public on ABC’s Super Fun Night, and the hidden immunity idol comes into play on Survivor. Plus, the remaining acts perform live on The X Factor, and watch the Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving special on NBC.
Thursday, Nov. 28: Happy Thanksgiving! Tonight, you can watch Lady Gaga and the Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular, featuring performances from Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, RuPaul, and Kermit the Frog. Also, the Glee club accuses Blaine of being too controlling on Glee.
Friday, Nov. 29: Look for holiday specials How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Shrek the Halls on ABC, and Garth Brooks performs live from Vegas on CBS. Also, Brennan and Booth go undercover as a ballroom dancing team on Bones, and a vigilante tries to clean up the neighborhood on Grimm.
Saturday, Nov. 30: Watch Saturday Night Football on ABC, and look for holiday specials The Flight Before Christmas and The Story of Santa Claus on CBS. Also, watch the all-new animation domination hour on FOX, and see the National Dog Show on NBC.
