Tom Cruise has compared his acting and preparation to that of fighting a war in Afghanistan and preparing for the Olympics.

According to legal documents TMZ obtained, the actor compared his location shoots to that of a tour in Afghanistan. "That's what it feels like. And certainly on this last movie. It was brutal. It was brutal.

He also said that his training is more grueling than that of an Olympic sprinter. "There is a difficult physical stamina and preparation. Sometimes I've spent months, a year, and sometimes two years preparing for a single film."

Cruise added, "A sprinter for the Olympics, they only have to run two races a day. When I'm shooting, I could potentially have to run 30, 40 races a day, day after day."

As $50 million libel suit, the Mission Impossible star filed against a tabloid that claimed he had abandoned his daughter, Suri.

He denied those reports saying that he constantly is in contact with either his daughter or ex-wife Katie Holmes about how Suri is doing. He said despite his film schedule, he "was a constant presence in Suri's life."
