3) Are You an Actress or a Singer?: Lohan released her debut album Speak in 2004. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went Platinum in early 2005. The single “Rumors” which had Lohan singing about how she wished the paparazzi would leave her alone and stop writing untrue stories about her aided the album’s success. Her second album, released in December 2005 titled A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold and had Lohan delving into family issues. She co-wrote most of the songs on the album and the album’s first single “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” delved into Lohan’s relationship with her father, Michael, who has had his own run-ins with law enforcement over the years. It looks to me that Lohan had more success in the music industry than the movie industry so why doesn’t she just pick one and stick with it? Maybe choosing one will give her the stability in her life that seems to be lacking.

2) Her movies suck!: Okay, once upon a time, Lindsay had talent, like when she was on the NBC daytime drama Another World or starring in the 1998 remake of the 1961 Disney classic The Parent Trap co-starring with Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson. Also movies like the 2003 family comedy Freaky Friday as well as the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls and the 2004 family comedy/musicalConfessions of a Teenage Drama Queen looked like she had a promising career transitioning to adult actress from child star. But, alas, the movies she’s done as an adult have been train wrecks all and not worth the money wasted to make them. Her role in the 2007 romantic dramedy Georgia Rule alongside acting heavyweights Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman was lackluster at best. Her many run-ins with the law and outrageous behavior pretty much butchered her acting career but 2007’s I Know Who Killed Me was supposed to be her comeback movie. Ripped apart by critics, the horror-thriller did nothing to rejuvenate Lohan’s career. Most recently, she played Elizabeth Taylor in the made-for-television movie Liz & Dick. Fans of the iconic actress found the casting of Lohan as Taylor a sacrilege and reviews were largely negative. Finally, her 2013 drama/thriller The Canyons had Lohan co-starring with an adult film star and was panned all around.

1) She (and her family) take time away from real celebrities on entertainment news shows: I don’t know about you, but I watch shows like Access Hollywood and Extra to hear about what’s going on with real celebrities, actors/actresses/musicians who’ve won awards, have new albums or movies coming out, etc. I don’t watch these shows to see what a horrific situation Lindsay has put herself in this week. Also, it seems her parents, Michael and Dina, can’t stay out of trouble either. Michael, has been investigated for insider trading, arrested and served time for attempted assault and domestic violence. Dina has been arrested for DUI and has been scrutinized for making her younger daughter, Ali, the star of a reality show and neglecting Lindsay’s obvious substance abuse problems. Whether it’s another DUI or purloining jewelry or just out and out atrocious behavior, let’s give some airtime to celebrities that actually succeed in the industry instead of defiling it!
