Monday night saw decent ratings for How I Met Your Mother, Castle and Dancing With the Stars, but The Voice dropped as the show moved into the live rounds and away from the popular segment of the show.
HitFix reports ABC won the night in terms of viewers, but NBC snagged the key 18-49 demographic. ABC averaged 13.56 million viewers for the night, but only was a 2.2 in the key rating. Dancing With the Stars stayed even with a 1.9 rating, but had 13.74 million viewers.
DWtS increased to a 2.3 rating in the second hour. Castle ticked upwards in viewers and demo with 11.91 million and 2.4, but still didn't win its time slot.
NBC won amongst young viewers with a 3.4 average demo rating. The Voice dropped to a season low average of 3.6 in the rating, The Hollywood Reporter notes. The Blacklist was also down to a new low with a rating of 2.9, but beat Castle.
CBS came in third for the night with 7.1 million viewers - but third in demo at 2.1, mostly thanks to How I Met Your Mother, which saw a 3.4 demo rating. Two Broke Girls was down slightly to a 2.6. Mike & Molly premiered on Monday night to a 2.6 demo rating, down from the previous year. Mom dropped to a 2.0 and Hostages slipped slightly to a 1.1 in the demo.
Fox fell back to Earth without its MLB postseason and averaged a second place in the 2.3 rating, but only 6.98 million viewers. Bones and Sleepy Hollow both decreased slightly to a 2.0 rating and 2.5, respectively.
The CW averaged 852,000 viewers for the night and a 0.3 rating for the night. Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast stayed steady with a 0.4 and 0.3 for Monday.
