The two-hour special Garth Brooks Live From Las Vegas easily helped CBS dominate Friday night in the ratings.
According to Deadline, the concert special brought in a 1.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 8.6 million viewers. Brooks helped the network recover after a weak showing from two animated specials that aired before.
NBC came second, and was the only channel to air all new episodes. Dateline was up slightly to 1.2 million, while Grimm and Dracula both dropped for the week to 1.3 and 0.9, respectively. The network averaged a week 1.1 in the demo, but brought in 5.23 million viewers.
ABC came in second in the demo with a 1.2, but lost to NBC in viewers at 5.12 million, HitFix reports. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Shrek the Halls both came in at a 1.5 in the demographic.
Fox trailed heavily from the other networks with 2.3 million viewers and only a 0.6 demo rating. A repeat of Bones brought in a 0.6 in the demo. Fox aired two new episodes of Raising Hope, but they only averaged a 0.6 rating in the demo.
The CW's numbers were half that of Fox's with a 0.3 rating and 1.06 million viewers. The movie Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer managed only a 0.4 in the demo and Nikita a 0.2.
