Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond is holding a 5K fun run to honor her late son Kile Glover, who died in a boating accident. The run called the Give Thanks 5K run/walk will be held Saturday morning in Chastain Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Proceeds from Give Thanks will benefit Kile’s World Foundation’s art initiatives and summer camps.
In a story originally published by The Associated Press Tameka Raymond states that she chose a 5K because her son Kile was her jogging partner, saying “he was my running buddy. That's who I used to do my neighborhood jogs with all the time. “ Kile Glover was only 11-years old when he was run over by a motorcraft on Lake Lanier. He was in intensive care for two weeks before dying.
The Kile’s World Foundation offers camps for children to explore their creativity and get a head in technology.
Plenty of celebrities are scheduled to participate including Antonia Carter and Cynthia Bailey. One celebrity that is noticeably absent is Usher. He is out of the country filming a movie.
