Mike Tyson is finally coming to grips with his past and is among several athletes looking to right wrongs in a new Foot Locker commercial that has gone viral.
In the commercial, which has racked up 2.8 million views since it was uploaded on Tuesday, is supposed to advertize the sporting goods chain’s “Week of Greatness.” It starts with a man thinking that all is right in the world now that Foot Locker has kicked off the event.
Of course, in a perfect world, Tyson returns Evander Holyfield’s ear, which he infamously bit off during a fight. Tyson preserved it in formaldehyde, he tells Holyfield. He thanks Tyson for returning it and the two hug it out.
In this perfect world, former NBA star Dennis Rodman buys a one-way ticket to North Korea and NFL quarterback Brett Favre realizes that a man needs to know when to stop playing. Broadcaster Craig Sager, who is known more for his outrageous wardrobe than anything else, finally burns his clothes and decides he needs a change.
It’s nice to see Tyson in the news on a positive note, since his recently released memoir revealed several shocking admissions. He revealed that he was high before major fights in his career and would use other people’s urine to fake drug tests. He also told Matt Lauer in August that he needs help, since it’s hard for him to stay sober.
