The beloved actor, Hugh Jackman, has just had skin cancer cells removed from his nose. The acting superstar reminded his fans to wear sunscreen, for not even the great Wolverine could prevent the beginning of cancerous cells forming.

Jackman posted a picture of his bandaged nose on Instagram paired with a cautionary tale. "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a [basal] cell carcinoma," the Wolverine star wrote. "Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!" according to E Online.

The Australian actor did not share any more details on the nature of his treatment, nor any additional insights of wisdom as to how his life has been affected by this event.

Zap 2 It reports that Jackman's case of Basil cell carcinoma is the most wide spread form of skin cancer, blighting a whopping 90% of skin cancer patients.
