A woman jumped from the third level of the O.co Coliseum in Oakland following a Raiders game Sunday, injuring herself and a man who tried to catch her.
According to KTVU, an Alameda County Sheriff's Office spokesman confirmed that when the game ended, a woman in her twenties entered section 301, planning to jump over the edge.
Fans on the second level attempted to coax her not to jump, but Sgt. J.D. Nelson reported that, “She jumped anyhow, and one guy tried to catch her." The fall is estimated at 45 feet.
The Associated Press reports that the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in very critical condition; the man who tried to catch her remains in stable condition.
Officials continue to investigate the incident. Neither individual involved have been identified as of yet.
The Raiders fell to the Tennessee Titans, 23-19. The woman's jump did not impede fans from exiting the stadium.
