The X Factor shocked viewers with a double elimination on Thursday night – Lillie McCloud and Josh Levi.
The eliminations came as a surprise, especially McCloud’s, who was the first to go, because she was told her performance of “Summertime” was her best performance to date.
Judge Demi Lovato didn’t like the fact that they were being eliminated on Thanksgiving, saying, "I hate that we're doing this on Thanksgiving, it's not OK at all,” Rolling Stone reports.
"I'm really happy. I mean I didn’t want to leave, there's so much more I wanted to show. But this has been a major ride for me. I've learned a lot of things and I'm good. I’m good. God knows what he’s doing!" said McCloud after her elimination.
After McCloud’s elimination, it was between Josh Levi and Rion Paige. But it was a deadlock, with Lovato and Cowell voting to send Levi home, and Rowland and Rubio voting to send Paige home.
People reports it was then decided that Levi would go home because it got the least amount of viewers’ votes.
"I've had an amazing opportunity on this stage and I trust God. Everything happens for a reason,” said Levi.
