Tonight the Voice six vocalists will become five. This was also the last opportunity for fans at home to use the new “instant save” feature, which is utilized via Twitter. Contestants from Team Adam, Blake and Christina all faced elimination. Team Cee Lo was eliminated last week.

Kicking off the show was Kelly Clarkson, who is a member of the Voice family, sang her latest single which is “Underneath The Tree,” which is featured on her Christmas album. Clarkson looked beautiful and glowing.

Before the results got underway, Matthew Schuler, Jacquie Lee and Tessanne Chin took the stage to perform “You Got The Love,” which was originally performed by Florence Welch.

The first vocalist to advance to the top five from Team Christina was Jacquie Lee.

Shelton reunited with his season one artist Xenia to perform, “Silver Bells.” The Voice has been finding talent since season one.

Following that heartwarming holiday performance, Cole Vosbury from Team Blake advanced to the semi-finales.

The live performances continued with James Wolpert, Cole Vosbury and Will Champlin performing, “More Than Words,” by Extreme. The men of the Voice were joined by Extreme member, Nuno Bettencourt.

Coach Adam and Christina started tweeting and encouraging fans to get their instant saves ready, halfway through the show.

Before the bottom artists were announced, the top six took to the stage one last time to perform a holiday classic, “Oh Holy Night.”

Following the top six coming together, it was announced that Will Champlin from Team Adam also advanced to the top five, this left James Wolpert and Matthew Schuler in the bottom two. The fate of Wolpert and Schuler was left up to the Voice fans on Twitter.

After the instant save window closed, James Wolpert advanced from Team Adam. This sent Matthew Schuler home.

The top five will be performing next Monday on NBC.
