Talk show host Arsenio Hall was in a car accident in Los Angeles Monday, but was not hurt, police confirmed.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. in West Hills near an intersection. LAPD Sgt. Emalee Baptiste said that Hall drove off the side of the road. They ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor in the incident.
There was not a collision or arrests reported, Baptiste confirmed. She added that his car is new and it was hard to tell how much damage it sustained in the incident.
Hall is best remembered as the host of The Arsenio Hall Show, notes NBC News. It ran from 1989 to 1994.
He won NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice in 2012, beating former American Idol contestant Clay Aiken. That lead to him getting a new syndicated late night talk show. The Arsenio Hall Show returned in September, earning great ratings in several key markets.
He was recently in the news for offering advice to Kanye West, notes The Huffington Post. Hall told HipHollywood that “...I think we take ourselves a little too serious. But that’s something that will straighten itself out with maturity.”
