CBS has announced that fans will have to say goodbye to Ted Mosby, Barney Stinson, Marshall Eriksen, Lily Aldrin and Robin Scherbatsky and the entire cast of How I Met Your Motheron Monday, March 31.
The network announced that the show will be given an hour long series finale.
The hit comedy has been on air for a total of nine seasons and has made 208 episodes.
The comedy has been a huge success for the network and has done consistent ratings over the six seasons.
CBS also introduced that they will be premiering a brand new comedy following the conclusion of How I Met Your Mother, Friends With Better Lives. Friends is about six friends at very different stages in their lives. After the premiere which Friends will move to its regular Monday time slot on April 7th, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Friends features a star studded cast including, Kevin Connolly, Majandra Delfino, James Van Der Beek, Zoe Lister-Jones, Brooklyn Decker and Rick Donald.
How I Met Your Mother stars Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan.
