Early on Tuesday, December 17, the 2014 class of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees was announced. Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, KISS, Nirvana, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens were inducted in the performer category. Ahmet Ertegun Awards were given to Brian Epstein and Andrew Loog Oldham, managers of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, respectively, and the Award for Musical Excellence was given to the E Street Band, for their work behind lead singer Bruce Springsteen, already a Hall member. The Induction Ceremony will be held in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center on April 10, 2014.
