CMT plans on adding more reality television shows in 2014, including seven new unscripted series that will air next year. This is the most shows the network has ever had in production at one time.

2013 marked a lot of new productions for CMT including, Orange County Choppers, a second season of Swamp Paw, a fourth season of Sweet Home Alabama.

Executive vice president of programming and development for CMT, Jayson Dinsmore, explained that these new shows will offer better program for fans of the country music network. “These new shows represent the most aggressive original programming CMT has ever offered. “We’re purposefully broadening our originals to appeal to a wider audience through family-based comedies, outrageous humor, action-packed competition and unexpected dramas," said Dinsmore.

The upcoming shows include, My Big Redneck Family, Tattoo Titans and Steve Austin's Broken Skull Ranch. The new shows will start premiering as early as next month, reported CMT.

Variety added that along with some new programing, CMT has renewed Dog and Beth and Guntucky, the new seasons of both shows will start in the spring of 2014.
