Following Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson's comments in a GQ profile, A&E has put him on indefinite hiatus from the show.

A&E said in a statement, "We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs," according to The Hollywood Reporter. A&E continued in their statement that any remarks the Duck Dynasty patriarch made were not held by the network.

Despite being placed on indefinite hiatus, there is little to keep him from appearing in the upcoming season four as filming is pretty much finished at this point.

As previously reported, Robertson remarked to GQ that being gay was "not logical." He added that he doesn't see how a man could find anything but a woman's genitals as "desirable."

He then added that he doesn't "judge" anyone just because of their sexual orientation, rather that's more or less God's just as he'll just "sort 'em out later."

THR notes he followed up with a half-apology, blaming the fact that because he came to accept Jesus after bottoming out from drugs and sex, Robertson is merely just echoing what the Bible says and teaches. He insists that he would "never treat anyone with disrespect," though regardless of difference.
