Jack White and Karen Elson’s divorce was finalized by a Nashville judge. White and Elson married in 2005 but filed for the divorce last year. The two have two kids together, daughter Scarlett and son Henry.
According to Associated Press, court records show the final divorce agreement was signed on Nov. 26. The document names Elson as the primary parent for the couple's two children. White will only get the children for less than half the year. The judge granted him 150 days per year with his children. White also retains rights to all his musical businesses, including his record label, Third Man Records.
The separation was peaceful at first but Elson filed for a restraining order. She accused White of threatening her, which of course White denied according to the Toronto Sun.
Reportedly the reason for the restraining order was angry emails White sent to Elson over the kids schooling situation. He supposedly didn’t want his kids attending the same school as rival rocker Dan Auerbach's daughter, Sadie.
