Jennifer Lopez has filed court documents on Monday to regain her legal name.

People reported that the singer filed documents to change her name back to Jennifer Lopez. After marrying Mark Anthony in 2004, the singer changed her Jennifer Muniz, which is Mark Anthony's legal last name. She never changed her name as an artist or on stage.

The "Live It Up," singer also put in requests joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s twin children. She is looking to end the court’s ability to award spousal support to Anthony.

Lopez and Anthony spilt up back in 2011 and the singer said that her whole world fell apart but she focused on music and her family.

Following her divorce from Anthony, Lopez started dating backup singer, Casper Smart, Fox News added.

Lopez will be seen next on American Idol, returning to judge the hit reality singing competition on Fox and is still promoting her latest greatest hit album, Dance Again.
