Jimmy Fallon is hosting this week’s Dec. 21 Saturday Night Live episode with musical guest Justin Timberlake. Jimmy Fallon is a former SNL cast member and Timberlake is a five-time musical guest according to NBC.
Just from promos for the show we can tell this is going to be a hilarious episode. In the promo with Timberlake, Fallon and the musical guest goof off in a number of run-throughs introducing themselves according to the Examiner. Then in another promo Jimmy and cast member Kenan Thompson have some fun in the snow. Thompson also attempts to impersonate Justin Timberlake.
Then the pair gets everyone into the Christmas spirit by singing about the show using a familiar holiday tune. Thompson also manages to make Fallon cry. Then there is some singing where no one is really sure what they’re saying.
The promo finishes with Fallon and Kate McKinnon singing and twirling.
Fallon is taking over The Tonight Show for Jay Leno and leaving his own late night show in February. Fellow SNL cast member Seth Meyers will be filling Fallon’s time spot and is best known for his “Weekend Update” sketches.
